Day 6: Woman of God Series - #2 Home in His Voice

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalms 91:1 NIV

Imagine a rest after a long tiring day from school or wok. You lift your feet in the couch, drink a hot chamomile tea or chocolate drink and watch a relaxing movie from Netflix. Feels like home, right? No stress, no overthinking, just rest.

It also feels the same way when we are home in Christ. After all that we have been through, He will give us rest at the end of the day. A 24-hour day is tiring indeed—thinking of the different possibilities in life, contemplating how to live each day by and hoping it will get better. But listen, the gift of rest from God is a place like Home. We can rest in His embrace and surrender everything to Him because we know everything will work out well through Him.

As day goes by, let us always remember that we have a place to run to whether we are cheerful or mournful. God’s doors are always open for us. We have the key, and it is our hearts. Knowing we have a Home for us to rest and release everything is such a good feeling. God prepares for us a home that we can’t resist—love and comfort.

While we’re at Home with Him, He also gives us the opportunity to listen to His voice. We can feel the care in every word He speak as we pray, and it is because He loves us and our hearts are surrendered in Him.

Spend a few minutes praying to God. Ask for His guidance as you face this day with hope.
“I am here, my daughter. You are Mine and I am Your Father. You have a Home in Me and I prepared a special place for you to rest. Now, listen to My voice and come with Me.”
    Have a blessed day!

Always looking up,
J
