Day 9: Woman of God Series - #5 Trust and Obey
These are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a
person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one
knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
1 Corinthians 2:10-11 NIV
1 Corinthians 2:10-11 NIV
I know how it feels to trust someone whom you do not know
what they are up to. But what makes us trust them is that we know them, and we
know deep inside that they will not fail us. The same feeling also goes with God,
even better actually, because God will never ever fail us. Sometimes people disappoint
us because they fail us, but God will never. We expect from people and fill our
selves with hope, yet at the end of the day they fail to meet our expectations,
but God will never. We become disappointed with people because they are also
human. They make mistakes, and they are not perfect, but God is, and He never
fails. So, why am I saying all these? It is because we should trust God more
than people. He will never put us in vain.
Trusting God is hard, especially if trusting Him is beyond
our comfort zones. We tend to doubt if trusting Him will work the way we
planned to, or the way we visualized a situation to turn into. But hear this, trusting
God means that you are denying yourself and starting to surrender to His will,
which is perfect and well-prepared for you.
The Spirit of God within us knows us. The Spirit knows what is
in the core of our hearts and our thoughts are known even before we think about
them. What is important for us to know is that the Spirit helps us trust God
fully.
Are you struggling right now? Do you feel like if trusting
God will make your plans go the other way than you wanted them to be? Don’t
worry, because the Spirit will help us soften our hearts and surrender to Him
fully. Spend a minute today praying to God for your heart to be prepared for
surrender.
“My daughter, I am with You. I am the One who will never fail you because I love you. You are precious to me, like how a shepherd takes good care of his sheep. I know your thoughts and let Me help you change them and be in lined with my plans for you. Believe Me, I know what is best for you. You just have to trust me on this. Hold My hand and I will never let go of you.”
Have a blessed day!
