Day 8: Woman of God Series - #4 Peace is a Promise He Keeps
Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and
faithfulness always protect me.Psalms 40:11 NIV
Imagine you are on your way home and it began to rain. You have no umbrella and you are still far away from your house. You see no shelter near you to protect yourself from the pouring rain, and you are starting to get wet. But even before you step your one foot and prepare to run, a car stopped and someone inside offered a ride for you to get back home safely. That someone also shows how present God is in the midst of our problems.
We are not exempted from the world’s problems when we are
following God. Indeed, there are more to come because the enemy will do its
best to keep us away from the Lord. But listen to this, we will never be forsaken
by God. Amidst all circumstances, He is there to save us. If we listen to His
voice, we can find peace in the middle of difficulty.
God is faithful, He keeps His promises and loves us unconditionally.
If our parents who love us do their best to give us good tomorrow and keep us away
from harm, what more is Our God who fearfully and wonderfully made us? God
calls us by our names because we are important to Him, you are important to
Him. So, the only thing that we should do is hear His voice and be at peace.
God knows everything that is in our hearts, even our deepest
and darkest secrets. But He will not judge us when we tell our thoughts to Him.
In fact, He wants us to talk to Him more often than we look at our social
media. God just wants to see how faithful we are to Him when we finally hear
His voice.
Spend a minute reflecting from the verse. Has God been
faithful to you during this kind of times? When was the last time you think of Him
first in the morning before you open your phone? Now, pray to God and may His
voice rest in your heart.
“I love you, daughter. Come now and trust Me. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will protect you. Just listen to My voice and rest on Me. Don’t ever hesitate to tell your problems to Me because I already know them before you open your mouth and pray to me. I know you and I have the best plans for you.”
Have a blessed day!
