Day 5: Woman of God Series - #1: Hearing His Voice

 

The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes.

Deuteronomy 1:30 NIV

    Do you sometimes feel like something inside you wants to do good on someone else? That when you do it, you're sure that your heart will feel joy and contentment? That's God voice within you.

    We start to hear His voice when we decided to surrender to His will. God makes us do what is right and His Spirit teaches us how to deal with different situations. The most important key to hear God's whisper in us is our heart. Once our heart is surrendered to God, He leads us to the right path where He wants us to go. When do we hear His voice? It is when we always pray spend time with Him.

    But despite of all the words we hear from the whisper of God, what makes a woman of God different? It is when you listen to His voice. Hearing is different from listening. Hearing is when you get to hear God's voice and do nothing about it. But with listening, we hear His voice and we are moved--meaning, we are in the urge to do what God said.

    Submission is also part of listening. When you submit to God, He makes us do things that sometimes feel uncomfortable. It's kind of strange when He tells us to talk to a random stranger and say that they are loved or say "I love you with the love of the Lord." But in submission, you will follow His voice even if your body doesn't want to. That act can also impact the other person. When he/she heard the words that came from your mouth, believe me; it is not you whom the person will see, but the work of the Spirit within you. Another thing is that God goes to the situation before we actually go for it. When we want to share His goodness, He will make the person's heart prepared before we even arrive at the place where God wants us to go. You will really feel (and I'm sure of it) the joy and contentment after you do what God says.

    God will never put us in a situation where we will do something that's not worth doing. Always remember that when God commands, something will turn out to be good and worth doing. Listening to His voice shouldn't just stop in us, but they are meant to be shared and to be felt by other people because that is what He wants us to be: to be a channel of His love and blessing. 

    "Listen to Me when I speak daughter because I will go before you. I will make clear paths for you and trust Me, this is worth doing. I will fight for you because I love you."
