Day 3: God's Got This!

God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
Psalms 46:5 NIV

It is really inevitable for all of us to face challenges throughout our lifetime. I have faced so many challenges since when I was an early adolescent. The feeling of being bullied, being left out and being rejected are some of the things that made me want to give up life. But God didn't let me.

When I was on my ride going home from school, I was crying so hard and ask why God let that happen to me. I really don't understand why people always shut me out when I haven't done anything to them. I think it's the Spirit of God that worked in me because He made me open my gallery and see a verse from Psalm 46:5. I cried so hard that night, but not because of pain and anger - but because of His Love. His love, sister. When the world is against me, He stood beside me. When nothing make sense at all, He put His hands around me.

When I got to know Him more, He changed me. Change is a process and it is not done in one click. He made me understand the reasons why I was treated like that and He helped me change for the better. I asked Him for guidance to remove my bad habits and worldly pleasures and surrender my life to His will.  That time, He made me realized that I was so caught up by this world, trying to change to be accepted by people, losing my own identity and be someone whom I am not. Because of that verse, I dug deep into His Word and ask God for forgiveness. I felt freedom and peace after. In every situation we are in, God will always give lessons for us to grow and while we're in that process, He will always be with us.

Do you feel like everything around you is against you? That no one in this world understands you? It's heavy, isn't it? But please know this: God is within you, and He will help you face anything that may come your way.

Have a habit of self-reflection before each day ends. Rewind the things you have done for that day and reflect if those things please God. If not, ask God for forgiveness. Let His Spirit help you change each day as you rest in His presence.
"I am with you, daughter. You don't have to worry about anything because I got you. I love you and I will help you."
    Have a blessed day!

Always looking up,
J
