Day 2: You are Mine
Some will proudly claim, ‘I belong to the Lord .’ Others will say, ‘I am a descendant of Jacob.’ Some will write the Lord ’s name on their hands and will take the name of Israel as their own.”Isaiah 44:5 NLT

Isaiah 44:5 NLT
I still remember the season of not belonging. I can't find my own circle of friends, I don't have people whom I can share my problems to and most of all, I feel so alone.
But because of God's grace, I found my Home. I found my company in Him. It's in those hard times that we get so caught by our own standard of belonging and we forget to see the true meaning of being loved. You belong to Him. His love is far more than the love of anyone in this world could give. It doesn't matter how you've sinned these past few days or months or even years. The only thing that matters the most is your heart. Your willingness to give your heart to God is the first step for the feeling of belonging.
The day that I accepted that I am alone is also the day that I knew I wasn't really alone. He can be our Friend, Brother, Best friend or whoever we need. We can tell Him everything without worrying that He will judge us, because He won't. It seems like being alone is a blessing in disguise for me to draw closer to God! When I finally found my Home in Him, I became contented with what I have and what He has done for me. But I think His plan didn't just end there. There's something more. When I accepted the fact that I can't find someone whom I can share my problems with but Him, God gave me the people who can. I have now a small circle of friends. Small, but they are always there for me. God just prepared me for that event. Friendship is a gift from God, and it is also a responsibility. I got to learn to give them time, pray for them and be with them when they need me.
God will never let us down. He's only waiting for us to look back and see Him behind us less than an inch away. Grab a hold of His hand and you will start to feel the sweet sensation of His love.
"I am here, daughter. You belong to Me. Listen to My voice in your heart and rest on Me. I am your Home. I will never leave you. I love you."
Have a blessed day!
