Day 14: Amazing Grace Series - #2 I am Yours
But now, this is what the Lord says – he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord you God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead. Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for your life.Isaiah 43:1-4 NIV

Once we are in God’s embrace, His favor will always be with us. Because He loves us, He gives us the blessings that manifest how faithful He is to our lives. We are where we are because God put us here, on the right path. We are who we are because God claimed us as His.
The verse from Isaiah was for Jacob, the son of Isaac and Rebekah. Abraham and Isaac – Jacob’s ancestors – have been faithful to God. The blessings that He is receiving are because of his ancestors’ faithfulness. Jacob is the third line of God’s covenant. If we are faithful to God, He is also faithful to us.
Knowing all of this gives us a challenge, to remain faithful to God. And by His grace, He will also bless our future generations tracing our bloodline, our descendants. God is never selfish. He is willing to give anything we need, even before we ask for it.
Spend a minute of this day thanking God for His faithfulness. Because of His love, we are His, and we are given the privilege to be blessed. By His grace, we are blessed so that we can bless others.
“I love you, my daughter. I know what you need and what you desire. Continue to seek Me and all things will be given to you. I have a lot in stored just for you…just for you, my love. Now, come and trust me. You are Mine and I am Yours.”
