Day 13: Amazing Grace Series - #1 Privileged
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord
has anointed me to proclaim the good news to the poor. He sent me to bind up
the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from
darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the
day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those
who grieve in Zion – to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the
oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of
despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for
the display of his splendor.
Psalms 61:1-3 NIV
Psalms 61:1-3 NIV
God has given us grace for us to use it for His glory. We
are called to be the followers of God, and we have the responsibility to bring
the Kingdom here on earth by sharing His Word to everyone. Through God, we can
do anything: When someone is aching, we are to give them comfort; when someone
is being bind by evil, we are to free them; when someone feels that he/she is
trapped, we are to release them; when someone is mourning, we are to give them
joy and comfort; when someone is losing hope, we are to encourage them; when
someone is lost, we are to guide them back to the right path; when someone is
embarrassed of worshiping the Lord, we are to show them that there’s nothing
to be ashamed of.
All the things mentioned above cannot be done by our own
strength only. We need God’s Spirit to be with us as we proclaim His greatness
to everyone. We should always remember that we are just an instrument of God,
and we are to bring people close to Him, and not for us to be admired or be
worshiped. We are blessed to bless other people.
He gives us the power to do anything, and we should be
thankful to God for that privilege. We are His women, and we are called to be
His channel of blessing. Now, God is inspiring us to use that privilege for His
glory. Since we are His, we can do the things that Jesus did when He was here
on earth – a Christ-like character.
Have a blessed day!
