Day 10: Woman of God Series - #6 My One Desire

Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
Psalms 73:25 NIV

Now, realizing that we are in Christ and we can do nothing without Him, it is time for us to know that desiring Him gives us contentment. We focus on what is more important than what is temporary. Having contentment in Christ is giving more of our time to what is eternal and everlasting. Look around you, do you see anything that will last forever? Look at your clothes, bags, shoes and books. Will anything in this world last forever?

We all know that God is the only One who lasts. Our relationship with Him can be called everlasting and never fleeting for we desire Him until our last breaths. There’s nothing wrong in desiring worldly things, keeping yourself on the trend, but if those hinder our relationship with God, then it is bad. We are commanded to worship Him only and nothing else. Anything that occupies our thoughts and treasures each day will determine if we are worshiping idols, or God.

God has blessed us with lot of things, and they should be used in the expansion of His Kingdom or for His glory. What we have right now are part of His faithfulness to us. Then what should we do next? Having a grateful heart will always make us see the good in all situations. We should focus on the Giver of the blessings, and not on the blessings. If we focus more on the blessings, how will our relationship with God be? We will feel lost, drained and unsatisfied. But if we focus on Our faithful God and desire only Him, we are in content.

Having an intimate relationship with God helps us focus on things that He only desires. Our hearts will be in lined with His desires for us, and we will be able to walk on the path He really prepared for us. We are called to walk with Him, follow Him and trust Him, so that in every situation we are in, we will not feel lost.

“I am Your God and I will make your paths straight. Come with Me, My daughter. Let your heart’s desire be filled with your relationship with Me. I am the way, the truth and the life. Come, focus on Me and not on the temporary. I am everlasting, as My love with you. Daughter, I will give you hope every day and keep you in My arms forever. There’s forever in Me, love.”

    Have a blessed day!
